Kids today have it easy from their fancy app to their high tech video games but 90's also gave us some of the best things. Kids grown up today won't even understand the excitement of getting up early on a saturday morning to having to wait to use the internet. Everything today seem to be nostop or going down hill. So here is my take on thing kids today just won't get or have never heard of.
Dail Up
Yes there was a time when you couldn't just turn on your computer and go to your favourite. You actually have to set time a side for it so it didn't leave the phone unuseable for too long. As you were on the internet it cut your lanline phone off so you couldn't use it and no one could contact you. Also most websites you use today didn't exist.
Saturday Mornings
Yep there was a time were kids got up early just to watch there favourite shows. Saturday mornings were the best. If you lived in the UK you probably woke up to the sound of SM:TV Live with Ant & Dec and Kat Deeley. The show consist of Ant, Dec and Kat going a bunch of sketches along with popular kids shows and phone in games. The show was so popular that the adults who watch with their kids even enjoyed it.
Kids TV
If you were a kids so the 90's then you with Cartton Network or Nickelodeon. the show that were out in the 90's beats most kids show today as more thought went nto them and there was no fancy graphics just plan old fun with cleaver stories. Today most kids tv show use the same stories over and over again but with a different show. Disney channle are the example of this. As form show to show the stories are similar in may ways. Also in 90's if you watch Power Puff Girls or Power Rangers then you would of had long talks in the playground with your friends on what character you were and why.
Games
in the 90's were didn't have the same fancy games you have now. No we had the game boy, playstation one scrat lead games and other handle games.Kids of the 90's would remeber having to fine the best light in the house so they could play thire game boy, try to keep their pet tamagotchi alive whiles you were at school or even enjoyment of having a console that you could plug into your tv that had a whole range of games on it.
Computers
In the 90's we didn't have tables, fancy windows 8 or slim line laptops. we were stuck with tv like computers that were very basic and have either windows 98 or 95. laptop were very new and had a big base what the laptop sat intoso you could charge. We didn't have cd with games on it in the early 90's so if you want to play a game on your high tech tv box pc you had to load up about 5 or more floppy disk that took time.
Moblie Phones
In the 90's moblie phones wervery different from today. They could do more or les the same things like phone eple, text, diary and games but nothing like today were we can do so much more like play high tech games, watch videos, go in the web or download apps. if you were a kids of the 90's then you would know that nokia was the phone to have. it was know as the unbreakable brick as the phone case was strong and can take most drops unlike moblies today.
the 90's very great yes thing have moved on for the better but something were much better that you wish they were still there. even tho I'm 23 i still miss getting up early on a saturday just to watch SM:TV Live or spend hours on end warch my favorite kids shows. Ah the good times.
